Goshen Medical Center eyes first Sanford location
The organization is looking to open a new location in Sanford to serve Eastern North Carolina.

A health care provider in Eastern North Carolina wants to open a new office in Sanford.
On Tuesday, the Sanford City Council held a public hearing for a request by Goshen Medical Centre to rezone their property. The company is based in Faison, Duplin County and wants to open a new facility at 2807 S. Horner Boulevard.
Goshen Medical Centre is a nonprofit organization that offers medical services to patients who are low-income or uninsured, according to Tiffany Ehrenfried.
Ehrenfried explained that "this would be a second location where we could provide care to people who can't otherwise afford it."
According to Lee County property records, Goshen Medical Center bought the property in June 2022 for $1.65 Million. This organization has many locations in Eastern North Carolina. Several of them are located in Goldsboro. According to the website, this would be its first office in Sanford.
Sanford City Council, as is usual, referred the matter on to the Planning Board. They will most likely decide later about the rezoning.
