Married Couple ID'd as 2 Dead in Plane Crash Near Las Vegas

. The pilot and his wife were killed when their small private plane crashed in southern Nevada.

LAS VEGAS, NV (AP) - A pilot and wife were identified as the two victims killed in a crash south of Las Vegas earlier this week.

The Clark County Coroner's Office said that the victims are Glen Robert McKenna and Bonnie Jean McKenna of Cal-Nev-Ari. This rural town is near Nevada's southernmost tip.

The plane crashed at around 5 am on Tuesday, north of Kidwell Airport. Authorities have confirmed that the McKennas are the only passengers on board. There were no injuries reported on the ground.

Glen McKenna is listed as the owner in federal aviation records of the 2006 single-engine GlaStar.

The National Transportation Safety Board investigates the accident.

Cal-Nev-Ari is about 110 kilometers (70 miles) away from Las Vegas.
