Hipgnosis Songs Fund Reports 31.06% Increase and Agrees to $1.4 Billion Takeover
Music investment company Hipgnosis Songs Fund, home to the catalogues of artists like Neil Young, Shakira, and Red Hot Chili Peppers, has agreed to a takeover by Apollo-backed music company Concord Chorus. Under the deal, shareholders of the London-listed song catalog fund will receive $1.16 in cash for each share held. The transaction is valued at around $1.4 billion.
