Mike Lynch, a British software mogul, passed away at the age of 59 after his yacht sank off the coast of Sicily. The yacht, the Bayesian, went down during a violent storm. Mr. Lynch’s wife, Angela Bacares, was rescued, along with crew members and passengers. Mr. Lynch had recently been acquitted of criminal fraud charges tied to the $11 billion sale of his company, Autonomy, to Hewlett-Packard in 2011. The sale had been controversial, with HP accusing Mr. Lynch of deception. US prosecutors had charged him with fraud and conspiracy.
