United Airlines and Alaska Airlines have reported finding loose parts on their Boeing 737 Max 9 jets after a fuselage panel blew out during an Alaska flight. This incident has raised concerns about the safety of the Max 9 aircraft. Alaska Airlines had received warnings about cabin pressure issues on the plane prior to the flight, leading them to stop using the Max 9 for Hawaii flights. United Airlines discovered loose bolts in the panels, known as door plugs, during inspections. Both airlines have begun preliminary inspection work, awaiting guidance on the inspections from Boeing and the FAA.
