Question- do employers actually value and consider certificates from places like hubspot, google, udemy, skillshare etc? Are there certain skill sets or platforms more legit than others in their eyes?

In the past few years, there have been many digital education companies/academies that offer courses and certifications in areas like marketing, social media, and coding/programming. Some of these are free, like hubspot, and others cost like skillshare or udemy. I am curious if employers value these skills and consider them. If they do, what platforms or skill sets are they more likely to consider legitimate than others? It will depend on the industry and position of the company, but I would like to get an overall feel. Thank you.
