Trammell Crow Co.'s plan to build a 275,000-square-foot industrial development near Frederickson cleared another hurdle after Pierce County approved building and construction construction permits for the project Wednesday. Plans call for the buildings to be 162,000 and 113,000 square feet. The vacancy rate for the region, excluding the Eastside, was 3.7% in the third quarter, according to a recent report by Cushman & Wakefield. However, with about 1.3 million square feet of space expected to have been delivered by the end of the year, demand could soften in the months ahead. In all, a total of 1.8 million square feet of space was signed for across 25 transactions.
