Twitter employees sue social media company over bonuses they say weren't paid despite promises
The suit alleges that Twitter promised employees bonuses if the company hit certain growth targets, but then reneged on those bonuses when the company failed to meet the targets.

Twitter employees are suing the social media giant for tens or millions of dollars of bonuses that they claim it failed to pay, despite its promises.
The lawsuit filed in federal court on Tuesday in San Francisco alleges that executives, including former finance chief Ned Segal,'repeatedly promised' employees that they would receive 50% of their bonuses in 2022.
Mark Schobinger was the senior director of Compensation at Twitter until last month. The lawyers for the plaintiff seek class action status in behalf of all current and former Twitter staff. Shannon Liss Riordan, an lawyer for the plaintiffs said that Twitter owes bonuses in the "tens of millions."
Twitter, who has disbanded their media relations team did not reply to a comment request other than an automated response. The company faces multiple lawsuits by former employees, as well as unpaid rent and unpaid bills.
