Watch Live: Japan Attempts World's First Commercial Moon Landing
The company is excited about their new product launch.
Ispace's live YouTube stream now features pre-recorded video due to a problem with communication between the spacecraft and the surface of the moon. Ispace's Hakuto-R Mission 1 Lander was launched on a SpaceX rocket by Cape Canaveral in Florida, USA, on December 11. If conditions change, three landing sites are available and, depending on where you land, the date of landing may change. Alternative landing dates are April. We are thrilled to share this new photo taken by the on-board camera of the lander from an altitude around 100 km above the surface of the Moon. The photo was taken on April 15, at 4:32 AM (JST).
