Why $5 Raspberry Rally Girl Scout cookies are now selling for up to $50 a box on eBay
Some people are willing to pay over $100 for a single cookie on eBay.
You can order the latest addition to Girl Scout Cookie's cookie line at eBay EBAY for as low as $50 per box.
Raspberry Rally cookies have been very popular since they were introduced as part of the Girl Scouts' annual cookie drive. Although the Girl Scouts sold the cookie online, most scout groups won't be able to order it.
Hence, some eBay sellers have stepped in to fill the Raspberry Rally void…at a price.
'Hard to find,' said one seller offering two boxes for $100.
'Sold out online,' said another seller, who's hawking 10 boxes for $220, which amounts to $22 per box.
The boxes normally go for $5 apiece, according to the scout ordering platforms.
MarketWatch reached out to the Girl Scouts but they didn't respond immediately.
This isn’t the only problem with cookies this year. Samoas has been a staple in the Scout cookie line for many years, but some troops are running low.
This has caused consternation among cookie lovers. One tweet stated, "Girl Scout Cookie Shortages are NOT THE FUTURE" that he had promised.
