Wowza, the world's leading VOD platform, announced today three new executive hires. This announcement comes amid significant growth and product innovation. Wowza's recent growth investment capitalizes on its pioneering deployable engine technology and more than 50% compounded cloud annual revenue (ARR). The addition of Mark Lockwood (CTO), Matt Thompson (Vice President of Marketing) and Michael Phillippi (CTO) are just a few of the many changes. This follows Wowza's early 2022 hiring of Erin Sawyer (CFO).

Wowza's technology, sales, and marketing executives were chosen based on their extensive executive experience in scaling, commercializing, and building cloud-based, developer-focused technologies. Wowza's high availability video platform is now trusted by technology teams and developers at discerning institutions such as NASA and SONY, Facebook and Jewelry TV.

As Wowza's CRO, he will be responsible for the sales, marketing, and customer success divisions. He has previously been CTO at Canto and VP Technology at Lyxt, Inc. As Wowza's CFO, Sawyer has more than 15 years experience in strategic finance and accounting. He previously worked as a senior financial officer at Emburse Vertafore, Lexis Nexis, and Vertafore. Thompson joins Wowza as VP Marketing and will be responsible for demand generation and marketing strategy.
